Official moratorium on veterinary care!

I called it first.  There will be no more visits to vet.  Not even for limping black lab puppies who can not demonstrate any other evidence of injury.  No more carefully coordinated copy cat injuries.  Nada.  No way.  I'm over it.  No more eating of foods that are not consumable by that particular species, no more yeast, no more diarrhea.  Nothing.

I want sleep and I don't want it lying on the floor at the emergency vet's office while waiting to figure out what the exact problem is and what the exact treatment will be for any dog currently in my care (vicariously or not.)

By the way - Tag's ears are looking great. He responded to treatment immediately, and his ear-shaking/scratching stopped within a day. We'll continue the course of treatment as per the vet's instructions, for the full two weeks, but everything's clearly resolving quite nicely...

Now, if we could just get him to sleep past 6 am...

  2. Six?!? I'll trade you Gabor for Tag immediately. Gabor doesn't care what time it is, he doesn't intend to go quietly into the night, morning, day or any other time period. Butley, on the other hand, he'll sleep forever.

Just remember, you trained Tag that exciting things happen when the sun comes up. Things like dinner, endless games of fetch and a litter mate thrown into the mix. If Tag's life wasn't so damn rewarding, he wouldn't be so inclined to get up in the morning.
